Montague WebWorks Moves Hosting to New Servers
Local web and email company boasting new fast speed
After hosting their customer websites and email at the previous server facility for over a decade, Greenfield-based web development company Montague WebWorks has moved its entire hosting business to a new server facility, upgrading everything along the way.
MWW owner Mik Muller expressed his delight, saying "The new servers are so fast! We did a test of the same site on both the old and new web servers, and while the old server could deliver a webpage in under two seconds on average, the new server does it in about 1/3 of a second."
All facets of the servers are new. Not only the actual bare metal computers -- with scads of processing power, memory and storage, as well as all software versions -- but the actuall connections to the Internet are also lightening fast. Currently hosting about 350 websites before the move, the new server provides plenty of power for triple that number.
"We had been at the old server farm for so long, it was time to trade in the old Pinto for a new Ferrari" said Mr. Muller.
Montague WebWorks is now ready to start their next chapter.
